Radiologic Technology Licensure Program

The Arkansas Department of Health, through the Radiologic Technology Licensure Program, provides Arkansans maximum protection practicable from the harmful effects of excessive and improper exposure to ionizing radiation. The program requires appropriate education of persons using radioactive materials or operating medical equipment emitting or detecting ionizing radiation upon human beings. This ADH program regulates persons administering ionizing radiation to human beings to help keep the radiation dose to patients as low as reasonably achievable.

Many answers to questions regarding licensing requirements, examination, continuing education, and more can be found here: Frequently Asked Questions.
