COVID-19 Vaccines

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics & Locations

Who is currently eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccine?

Everyone aged 6 years and older should get 1 updated (bivalent) Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to be up to date.

Children aged 6 months – 5 years may need multiple doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, including at least 1 dose of the updated (bivalent) Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, depending on the number of doses they’ve previously received and their age.

People aged 65 years and older may get a 2nd dose of the updated (bivalent) Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

People who are immunocompromised may get additional doses of updated (bivalent) Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine as recommended by their physician.

How can I get the vaccine?

Eligible Arkansans can make an appointment with a vaccine provider. Vaccine clinics and events may also be available in your area through hospitals, health care providers, or your worksite. Click here for a list of clinics. You can also find locations by going to vaccines.gov.

When will there be another “new” or updated vaccine?

There will likely be another update to both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines in the autumn of 2023. The vaccine will be updated to contain protection against strains of the virus that causes COVID-19 that are expected to be circulating this coming fall and winter.

Please see the CDC recommendations here.
