Nutrition Services
Assessment, consultation, and education to individuals and groups concerning normal and therapeutic nutrition in clinic, office, and community sites; consultation concerning food service and menu analysis in group settings by registered dietitians and home economists. Coordinates the 5-a-Day for Better Health program and the Pediatric Nutrition Surveillance System.
Personal Care
Provision of services by physicians' orders to persons who need help with daily living activities and are at risk of nursing home placement. Services include assessment by RN and nurse aide services. These services are designed to enable individuals to remain in their own home independently. 
Pregnancy Testing
Performance of pregnancy tests.
Presumptive Eligibility
Assessment of pregnant women's eligibility for temporary Medicaid benefits covering ambulatory prenatal care.
Safety Seat FAQs
Provision of low-cost convertible car safety seats to eligible clients; instruction of parents in proper use.
Sexually Transmitted Diseases
Diagnosis and referral or treatment of patients with sexually transmitted diseases; case management (interviewing and partner notification of patients and their partners); and community education.
Sterilization
Provision of medical procedures performed by a physician to prevent conception. Counseling and health teaching are provided.
Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
Provision of information and counseling to families experiencing the death of an infant due to SIDS.
Tuberculosis
Screening, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis.
Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
Clinical certification and nutrition education of eligible women, infants and children to receive vouchers to purchase certain foods.
5 A Day Program INFO
The largest public-private nutrition education program in America. The objectives are to increase public awareness of the health benefits of fruits and vegetables, and inform the public about how to include more servings into their daily eating patterns.
