The Arkansas Emergency Medical Technicians Association and the Arkansas Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Systems annual Conference and EMT Competition will be held Thursday, July 22 through Sunday July 25, 2004. The event will take place at the Hot Springs Convention Center, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
This years theme is “It’s A Celebration: 35 Years of Arkansas EMS”. Festivities will begin with team competition for First Responders, EMT- Basics, Industrial EMT’s, and Paramedics on Thursday, July 22, 2004 at 8:30 AM. Competitions will be held in Hall D of the convention center. Come see the most talented pre-hospital health care providers compete against each other to be recognized as the best in the state of Arkansas.
Continuing education courses for EMT’s and Nurses will be offered from Thursday, July 22 and run through Sunday, July 25, 2004. Classes will be offered to attendees regarding the latest in pre-hospital care and will range from vehicle extrication to pediatric education.
Over sixty vendors will attend this year’s event offering the latest in emergency medical care equipment and training aids. The vendor hall will be open to the public from Friday, July 23 and Saturday, July 24, 2004 in Hall A of the convention center.
