Health Department Wins Seven 
National Public Health Information Awards

Little Rock --The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) was recently honored at the National Public Health Information Coalition (NPHIC) Conference for outstanding communication efforts. This conference is sponsored by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is attended by public health communication professionals nationwide. The department competes on a level playing field with states such as California and New York. The ADH received the following awards:

  • Gold Award for Excellence for John Dodd's Feature - Feature Releases - Tobacco Prevention and Education Team
  • Gold Award for Excellence for Hometown Health Matters - Newsletters - Cheryl Roland and Editorial Board
  • Silver Award for Excellence for Arkansas Public Health Week - Information Campaigns - Linda Joslin, Ann Wright, Ed Barham, Pauline Rowbottom, Arlene Rose, Cheryl Roland
  • Silver Award for Excellence for Tobacco Prevention and Education Program Progress Report- Annual Report - Tobacco Prevention and Education Program Team
