The Arkansas Department of Health Abstinence Education Program with funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will present the 2004 Leading Our Generation Abstinence Youth Conference, May 14-15, at the Doubletree Hotel in Little Rock. The purpose of this event is to provide a forum for youth from around the state to gather for fun and abstinence education. Lakita Garth, a social commentator, media consultant, professional entertainer and one of the country’s leading abstinence advocates will be the keynote speaker. There will also be additional speakers for the breakout sessions.
Registration is $20.00 per person through April 23, 2004. Registration forms are available online at

Hotel reservations can be made by calling the Doubletree Hotel at 800-372-0518. Participants should mention “Abstinence Conference” to receive the $100.00 conference rate.
