Little
Rock—The Arkansas Department of Health is soliciting
proposals from interested offerors to provide the following
service:
Assess
and identify gaps, risks, and potential approaches for
becoming compliant with transactions and code sets standards
established by HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act).
The
purpose of this initiative is to assist the Arkansas
Department of Health BreastCare Program, Third Party
Reimbursement, Laboratory Services and In-Home Services
in identifying changes needed to the eligibility, billing
and reporting systems and enrollment operations systems
to comply with HIPAA. A written report documenting assessment
outcome and recommendations for remediation is also
required.
