| No bathing shall be
permitted in any swim beach when the total coliform organisms exceed 100 per 100 ml. in
more than 20 per cent of the samples tested or if any sample contains more than 2400 total
coliform per 100 ml. When the fecal coliform density
of any sample exceeds 100 per 100 ml daily samples are collected for two consecutive days
to determine if a sanitary survey must be conducted.
A sanitary survey may be conducted to evaluate potential
sources of contamination whenever the need is indicated by unsatisfactory sample results. |
