Rock - Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) authorized the reopening of the Café Santa Fe in Benton today. The restaurant closed voluntarily on May 1st after some of its patrons tested positive for exposure to salmonella bacteria. Health Department officials tested employees for the bacteria and conducted a full inspection of the restaurant facilities before plans to reopen were made.
Raymond Heaggans, ADH Regional Program Food Specialist, explains, “We have thoroughly examined Café Santa Fe and tested employees. The restaurant is ready to serve the public.”
Café Santa Fe reopens Monday, May 23rd.
