Little Rock—The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) will be conducting a public meeting to discuss the health concerns of the citizens of Prairie Grove and update the community on its ongoing health investigation. The public meeting will be held on April 9, 2002 in the cafeteria at the Prairie Grove Upper Elementary School located at 801 Viney Road. Community members will have the opportunity to speak with ADH physicians, environmental health assessors, epidemiologists and health educators from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Dr. Fay Boozman, Director of the health department, will be available to address public concerns.

ADH is continuing its investigation into concerns regarding a possible cancer cluster in the community. An update will be provided to citizens regarding environmental sampling as well as information regarding cancer rates in Prairie Grove.
